Hi everyone! For this week's blog, we are asked to write about how the school year is going so far and how we're handling all the work and tasks we are given to complete, etc . Since this is my first year in the media productions class, I can't compare how this year is going to last year's. But I will share how I'm handling everything so far in this new school year :) .
One of the topics I wanted to share about is about me personally. Juggling this school year, signing up for the media class made me feel double minded with all the side things going on outside of school, events and occasions, extra-curricular activities, family time, traveling, and current schoolwork of course. Looking ahead, I thought I won't be able to handle it all. But I've got a picture in mind or medium balance of what this year will be like from these past couple months since it all began. I'd also like to include, how in this media class, we have to always get our assignments and projects done on time. We must always keep productive with whatever we do with quality and being time consistent. Since school has started, I've been productively learning new things such as morning announcements, how to do proper interviews, taking good shots, editing, blogging, acting, writing scripts, and much more. So far, it's been a blast and I'm enjoying it. Yet there is still much more to learn before competition. This class is fairly small this year, and with the amount of students we have, we must always have jobs to do and tasks to complete, and twice the amount of work to get done per person. Filming and other class gatherings, I wouldn't call it a struggle, but sometimes difficult to get everything done at once so we would have to space out the duration of the project. It'll definitely take time and effort to get it all complete with quality. Also, one thing I think we should improve is to manage our time and constant positivity. Sometimes we all need a little more motivation on other days when we don't have much energy. I agree that our generation gets lazy, and I think it would help to have a way we can all communicate without getting each other irritated with negativity, group chats, etc. and give each other daily words of encouragement to get us through a rough week. To conclude, I enjoy this class and I hope we can encourage and motivate one another to do well in whatever important tasks and help each other get through our days. For example, when doing morning announcements, to always be prepared and 110% positive and polite with each other. Glad I got to share my opinion with you, and I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the semester!
