Hi everyone! Since this week is Thanksgiving, this week's blog is about what we are thankful for. So I'd like to share what I am thankful for.
The first thing I am thankful for is my family. They always support me in everything I do (and majority of the time I show my appreciation back LOL) so I show them how I appreciate them by doing chores or doing things they ask me to do. We've been through everything together whether it's traveling, moving, activities, shopping, picnics, etc. we always make time for each other and our family.
Another thing I am thankful for is having the opportunity to go to school and have side activities and talents to make time for. Some people in different countries don't have the opportunity to have an education or attend school, so that's why I try not to complain about how much homework I'm assigned or how challenging school can be, but instead try my best in whatever situation I'm in and make the best out of it. Also, I'm grateful for side activities and talents such as going traveling, doing dance or modeling, hanging with friends, swimming at the swimming pool, or whatever it might be.
I’m also thankful for food on the table and for all the wonderful things I have now. I feel this generation is spoiled and they need to show or give thanks for the things they have. For as some places kids have nothing. So we should appreciate what we have and make the most out of it.
The last thing I am thankful for is being apart of this media productions class, and having many teammates/friends to be surrounded by and encourage me everyday to do better than before. I'm also thankful for those who are reading this and for all your support! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi everyone! For this week's blog, we are asked to write about how the school year is going so far and how we're handling all the work and tasks we are given to complete, etc . Since this is my first year in the media productions class, I can't compare how this year is going to last year's. But I will share how I'm handling everything so far in this new school year :) .
One of the topics I wanted to share about is about me personally. Juggling this school year, signing up for the media class made me feel double minded with all the side things going on outside of school, events and occasions, extra-curricular activities, family time, traveling, and current schoolwork of course. Looking ahead, I thought I won't be able to handle it all. But I've got a picture in mind or medium balance of what this year will be like from these past couple months since it all began.
I'd also like to include, how in this media class, we have to always get our assignments and projects done on time. We must always keep productive with whatever we do with quality and being time consistent. Since school has started, I've been productively learning new things such as morning announcements, how to do proper interviews, taking good shots, editing, blogging, acting, writing scripts, and much more. So far, it's been a blast and I'm enjoying it. Yet there is still much more to learn before competition.
This class is fairly small this year, and with the amount of students we have, we must always have jobs to do and tasks to complete, and twice the amount of work to get done per person. Filming and other class gatherings, I wouldn't call it a struggle, but sometimes difficult to get everything done at once so we would have to space out the duration of the project. It'll definitely take time and effort to get it all complete with quality. Also, one thing I think we should improve is to manage our time and constant positivity. Sometimes we all need a little more motivation on other days when we don't have much energy. I agree that our generation gets lazy, and I think it would help to have a way we can all communicate without getting each other irritated with negativity, group chats, etc. and give each other daily words of encouragement to get us through a rough week.
To conclude, I enjoy this class and I hope we can encourage and motivate one another to do well in whatever important tasks and help each other get through our days. For example, when doing morning announcements, to always be prepared and 110% positive and polite with each other. Glad I got to share my opinion with you, and I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the semester!
Hey everyone! I haven't posted a blog in a while.. but this week's blog is about starting a new quarter and having new goals set for the next quarter. Here are my goals for the second quarter.
My first goal for this quarter is to complete and turn in all assignments, blogs, scripts, forms, etc. work on time and be turned in before or by the deadline. I hope that I can learn everything I need to know for this quarter and do fun projects I will learn from.
I hope to improve quality of future projects we will be doing this quarter and I hope we learn more of what's based off what we did in the first quarter and improve and build from there. I hope to improve my inside scoops to make it better with more enthusiasm and expression.
I think some ways I can achieve these goals are writing and planning ahead of time when doing projects so that way I don't follow a last minute plan that won't have quality and 100% effort included in it. Another way I can achieve my goal in improving my inside scoops is to practice often before the upcoming inside scoops recording and to make sure that upcoming events are accurate and confirmed for certain days.
In conclusion, I look forward to what this quarter has in store and that I can improve the quality of my projects, doing morning announcements, getting better at inside scoops, and turn in complete work by it's deadlines.
I know this year the CKTV media productions class is surely enough smaller this year, if I were to be in the media productions last school year, I'd probably say it's easier because the work will be evenly split amongst the group. But since this 2017-2018 school year media productions class is definitely smaller, I think it will be risky for the duration of the school year.
When working on Hiki Nō projects, inside scoops, morning announcements, interviews, etc. , the amount of work per person is doubled so everyone has to do their share. I don't know how easy or challenging it was last year, but if I was in the productions class I could probably reflect on how group work looked with more people.
NEW YEAR , NEW ME :
Hey everyone! This is my first blog ever! This year will be a great year and I look forward to it. Since it is my first and will be last year of being in the cktv media productions class, I have goals set for what I plan to accomplish, but still have a great and fun year.
I hope to learn how to post and do blogs weekly and know how to upload items and files to my blog. I feel it'll be a way I can learn how to blog/vlog when I get older and might want to do that as a side hobby.
Another goal I have set for this year is, to learn and complete challenges and tasks for certain opportunities and events we might come across this year, including STN ( student television network) and be able to work with different peers to complete the work as a team.
The last goal I have is to have good sportsmanship, ability to participate, and 100% effort in the activities and opportunities we have. but still work as team to achieve our goals for projects, advisory games, interviews, Hiki No tasks, etc.
Overall, I hope this year will be a fun first and last year, I will learn to become closer to my peers inside and outside of the school environment and learn to work with them as a team.
